Hello all, I removed the bit about Astonishing Panorama of the Endtimes being created for the Celebrity Deathmatch game or its soundtrack, as it was misinformation. MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch was a claymation show wherein fictionalized versions of celebrities would fight to the death. Manson's likeness was impersonated (or, if you will, he "appeared") on the show 4 times, but he did not contribute to his portrayal whatsoever. Astonishing Panorama was originally recorded during the Antichrist Superstar sessions, and released on Last Tour on Earth and the television show Celebrity Deathmatch's soundtrack the same year, 1999. Manson was asked to provide a song for the soundtrack, and reworked Astonishing Panorama rather than writing a new song. At some point, he and/or Interscope gave the Deathmatch show permission to use the song during his final "appearance," where claymation Manson fought claymation Ricky Martin, and the footage was edited two ways (once for broadcast within the episode and once for the official music video). It is true that his likeness was once again used for the game, but just as before his voice was impersonated by an inaccurate voice actor, and none of his music or input was used in the game. I hope this clears things up, and I'd be glad to provide evidence of my claims if need be.
