Recording dates[edit]

Please see this edit to see the explanation of the differences between bootleg records and the release, and why Manson's vocals are not equal on the records. Since the edit was done with no proof or external source linking, the dates in the track listing may still be considered inaccurate and subject to dispute.

Track Recording date Audible similarities and differences
"Inauguration of the Mechanical Christ" Tokyo, Japan(Confirm)
"The Reflecting God" Gold Coast, Australia(Confirm)
"Great Big White World" Perth, Australia(Confirm)
"Get Your Gunn" Boise, ID(Confirm)
"Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)"/"Hell Outro" Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Compare bootleg and release: audience noise seems to match, Manson's screaming only seems to match in particular parts of the records, John 5's solo seems to sound differently at the very end of the first solo.
"Rock Is Dead" East Rutherford, NJ(Confirm)
"The Dope Show" Cleveland, Ohio Can be explicitly recognized in the released recording, the lyrics "The drugs they say are made right here in Cleveland."
"Lunchbox" Grand Rapids, Michigan Can be explicitly recognized in the released recording, the tease "Grand Rapids, Michigan! There's a lot of people outside, I think we should let them hear what we're doing in here motherfuckers! Can I hear a: hallelujah motherfuckers!!?"
"I Don't Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)" Cedar Rapids, Iowa Can be explicitly recognized in the released recording, the tease "I had a dream last night, Cedar Rapids." Compare: release and bootleg.

Trivia[edit]

  • "Rock Is Dead" is introduced as if Omēga and the Mechanical Animals, the alter-egos Manson and the band devised for the Mechanical Animals album and tour, were playing.
  • The audio file of "Get Your Gunn" is wrongly titled "Get Your Gun".
  • John 5: That live album is from the Mechanical Animals tour and that album we were so good as a band. We were just really tight and really good. That album is one hundred percent live. It's completely live. The reason why is we taped all these shows for this live album and I remember going through these tapes and picking out the best performances. And it was just me doing it. I listened like you know... like Manson like dropped the mic or you know, blah-blah-blah, and I would make all these notes and that's all. There's not even overdubs on that thing. It's just all live. And I'm really proud of that record. I think everybody was just, I mean the band, was on fire and they were just plain unbelievable. And it was you know I love that album because it is so live.
