I think the tallk pages have been neglected a bit since I started the forums :P

Re:

Well you don't have to leave it to more experienced users to do the editing. That's the thing about wikis, you don't have to be professional at writing or speak perfect English (or whatever language in the case of other wikis); anyone who picks up on something that deserves mention in an article can submit it. Wikis are bound to have somebody come along and fix up what edits have left room for improvement. I just have a very formal approach with wiki content, so I try to make sure articles have as much formality as possible, or at least have fairly good readability. Re:

I understand that, but you said "Rewrite; I'm not rewriting it as someone who desperately wants to win a copy of the album, I'm doing it as someone who tends to cleanup and such. Most of the supplied info didn't come from me anyways." and I don't want to "desperately [wants to] win a copy of the album" I understand where your coming from but, this isn't going to go anywhere for either of us though.

What I meant by that was that I saw the article could use improvements, but I wasn't going to not improve it just because of the stigma of winning a copy of the album entailed by writing the article. That's why I specified this in the edit summary, and that the most information in my rewrite wasn't dug up by me. It wasn't my way of trying to win this contest; as I've said on the forums I have almost no expectations for this album. It could go on unreleased until this time next year for all anyone can be sure. The way Manson describes the progress being made on the album that seems like a bit of a stretch, but anything's possible (in 2005 Manson supposedly scrapped an entire album he was working on). So I'd really only do desperate things in a contest like this if I was low on money and the album was on the verge of being release. Windstorm 02:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Mechanical Animals

We don't go by the American release date, we go by the earliest possible date an album was released. Release history sections chronicle the specific launches, but as for the ones mentioned in the lead and Infobox, only the earliest release date belongs in these places. Oh, ok, i didn't know that, thanks for informing me. ;)
