Copypasta?

Why is most of the articles here just copypasta jobs from wikipedia? Deathwish 05:09, 7 March 2007 (CET)

If we are just going to copy from Wikipedia...can people at least get rid of the links to issues not related to Manson? seriously, we have links to things like 'John F Kennedy' in some pages...its as simple as getting rid of the [[]] :P Deathwish 04:28, 13 March 2007 (CET)

I'm trying to do just that. Since I joined in March 2007 I've been heavily updating articles, only to leave links related to Manson, for me or anyone else to create later on. I've also noticed a lot of the articles are directely copied from Wikipedia, and I can see why; it is a start. But since Wikipedia is general and MansonWiki pertains entirely to intricate information on Marilyn Manson, it is possible to expand further on articles here than you would on Wikipedia, which is another thing I've been doing, including adding articles for all of Marilyn Manson's songs which, on Wikipedia would be unnecessary. I've spent so much work on this site in my spare time, it's crazy! I wish I could be rewarded with some form of admin authority, but what can you do? Anyways it's a great site and I just wanted to say at least one person is trying to resolve implicant copypasta. Rtiztik 06:42, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

Background Image

Editing the Main Page

Some jokers keep messing up the main page. It should probably be locked or people should be forced to sign up.
Either way, porn pics were put up and even the whole Main Page was erased. I'd lock it myself, but maybe I need to be an 'admin' or else I would.

Well we tend to straight up ban spammers and people that edit in clearly bad-faith, followed by a page revert. It doesn't happen too often but when it does there's consequences. But alright I'll lock it. Windstorm 02:21, 19 August 2007 (CEST)

To be honest I'm not too fond of locking pages, actually if people want to add/edit something on the frontpage they're welcome to as long as it's not lemonparties, lol. I was at a festival the past few days, but I've banned the sucker and I unlocked the front page again. Maybe I'll lock it when this starts to happen more often, but I don't guess that'll be soon. Thanks for restoring and locking it in my absence though!
