Rudy Coby known also by his stage persona Labman, is a professional, comedic magician. He is a member of the Magic Castle in Los Angeles, and is currently working in Minnepolis taping episodes for the upcoming Rudy Coby Show. A long time friend of Marilyn Manson Rudy also lent his abilities in magic and optical illusions to Manson's stage performance, Most notably, On Manson's 2007 Rape of The World Tour as Coby modified his classic android Nikki Terminator into a portrayal of Manson's girlfriend at the time, Evan Rachel Wood. the "Faux Evan" appeared on stage as A robotic female assistant whose head could be removed, she could walk, talk, and even be stripped of her skin to reveal bare wires. While toting a cart of Mansinthe to deliver to the singer before he would remove her head and send her on her way. Other Labman derived props that Manson has utilized, most predominantly during the Golden Age of Grotesque was Coby's infamous three-legged walk, as well as extendable arms that Manson both utilized on his Grotesk Burlesk Tour.
Stage name
Coby plays his alter ego, "Labman", a scientist who performs astonishing feats. Known as "The Coolest Magician On Earth." Labman works for a fictional company, "LabCo", Labman was featured as a comic book character that Coby made up as a child.
Career
In the Mid 1990's Rudy had two very popular TV specials Rudy Coby: The Coolest Magician On Earth and Rudy Coby II Ridicuously Dangerous, and is currently finishing up the tapings for the upcoming Rudy Coby Show.
Marilyn Manson
Rudy became a member of Marilyn Manson's production team, just prior to the release of the Golden Age Of Grotesque In which, Rudy served not only as a personal friend, Stage & Prop Assistant, but also was in charge of capturing High Definition footage of the tours, Serving as a link between Manson and his fanbase by providing backstage access.
