L.U.N.G.S. (an acronym for "Losers Usually Never Get Signed") was formed in 1994 from the ashes of rapcore band Collapsing Lungs. In 1995, they released their only full-length record, Better Class of Losers, through Pavement Records. Members from both L.U.N.G.S. and Collapsing Lungs played a special reunion show at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 24, 2004.
