Amboog-a-Lard was formed in 1987 as a garage band by Dan Fontana, George Kokkoris and Barry Alpertand, and went through brief successes before eventually flatlining by 1997. The spearhead of their only "official" release (they also recorded a pro-demo CD), A New Hope, centered around the theme of Star Wars but their music is characterized by deeper philosophical and political thoughts. Twiggy was among the other members (back then still known as Jeordie White), first as a rhythm guitarist, and then as bassist.
The band had a semi-profitable run in its time but ultimately lost focus and creativity when White left to join Marilyn Manson in late 1993 after the firing of original Manson bassist, Gidget Gein.
Amboog-a-Lard disbanded in 1997 shortly after a 10 year stint.
