From MansonWiki, the Marilyn Manson encyclopedia
"Learning to Swim" is the third track on the 1991 release Lunchbox. It has since been recorded live and subsequently released again in 1992 on Live as Hell. The song was allegedly inspired by a message left by a fan on the band's answering machine asking for advice.
