Goon Moon was formed in 2005 by Jeordie White (now known as Twiggy) and Chris Goss. The band released a mini-LP called I Got a Brand New Egg-Laying Machine and have since recorded a full-length album, Licker's Last Leg, which was released on May 8, 2007. The album features cameos from longtime Goss collaborator Josh Homme and Josh Freese, as well as desert rock mainstay Dave Catching.

The band has begun recording new material for a possible upcoming album.
