The performance on October 25, 1998 took place at the Granada in Lawrence, Kansas, USA.

This performance, often listed as the first show for the Mechanical Animals Tour was actually a small pre-tour show with 650 tickets sold. The recognized official kick-off of the tour is the Kansas City, Kansas performance the next night at Memorial Hall.[1][2]
