"You're So Vain" is a song from Marilyn Manson's eighth studio album Born Villain. The song is a cover and was originally written and performed by Carly Simon in 1972. "You're So Vain" is the only song featured on a Marilyn Manson album to feature instrumentation from outside musicians. Bruce Witkin and actor Johnny Depp,[1] both former members of The Kids, performed bass and drums for the cover, respectively.
