- On February 25th, 2010, Marilyn Manson added nine photos of his new paintings to his MySpace photo album, updated his mood status and changed his profile picture. Some of the new paintings are still in progress, and only two have been titled as of yet. Status: "Marilyn Manson Lost Mood: handsome." Later that day three more paintings were added to the gallery.
- On February 23rd, 2010, Marilyn Manson changed his MySpace status to "Marilyn Manson Lost. Mood: electric"
- On February 17th, 2010, Manson updated his MySpace status to the following: "Marilyn Manson is under construction. Mood: impervious"* On February 19th, 2010, Marilyn Manson changed his MySpace status to "Marilyn Manson is in the wilderness. Mood: working". Later that day he changed his status again to: "sometimes for me to be the bigger man, you have to be the smaller woman. Mood: obsequious"
January 2010
- On January 31st, 2010, Marilyn Manson updated his Facebook with the following message "This is the Marilyn Manson and I will be using this to harm the world, etc. Expect new things in the next day. Not just your regular fake book bullshit. I'm taking this back."
- On January 24, 2010, Marilyn Manson updated the status of the band's MySpace profile: "I've finished 7 paintings this week and the new album is officially in motion. We begin with a short story captured on pixels."
- On January 14, 2010, Marilyn Manson updated the status of the band's MySpace profile with the announcement "Let the new era begin," signifying the end of The High End of Low term and the band's foray into their next studio album.
