False Fakes

just to clarify for all of you out there who have bothered to look at this list of supposed fake covers or misconceptions a fair ammount of those in the list are genuinely Manson songs, there is an album called "Rare and Acoustic" which has at least a few of the songs on the list. I suggest someone cross reference the list with this album and remove them, for example "Like a Virgin" and "Forbidden Fruit", it is fairly obvious that these are manson singing because of how unique Warner's voice is, here is a link to details of this album, its even in this wiki so obviously this has been a relative oversight for somebody. http://www.mansonwiki.com/wiki/Rare_and_Acoustic

  • Actually, Rare and Acoustic is an unofficial release. Bootlegs are notorious for containing songs by supposed artists. Like a Virgin & Forbidden Fruit are both fakes. [god]speed -MansonWiki Admin 08:25, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
    • Curious, with the unknown fakes, do we have any way to prove it? Also, go listen to that "Knife" guy's cover of Antichrist Superstar. Are we really claiming that that can manage a good Manson impression? (74.76.251.15, 01:49, 1 May 2013)

An idea to improve the page

Split the "Unknown Artist" one under a subheader. Manson's notorious for unreleased tracks, and usually the only ones we can confirm are legit are the ones that Daisy released. The "Suicide is Beautiful" stuff reminds me of Snuffy's VCR, a legitimate unofficially released track (plus the voice in Kill House sounds like Manson to me), and the Like A Virgin cover could very well be Manson and Trent messing around while high as balls. Eat Me, Drink Me could have had a piano opening. It's hardly unrealistic for the album. The same goes for The Golden Age Of Grotesque having an electronic intro. Antichrist Superstar originally opened with Heaven on the Brain, a dark industrial metal instrumental opening. Additionally, some of these I can't even find online, so maybe links should be included for the tracks, both just for informational reasons and because if the artist is unknown, having more people able to hear the song increases the chances we find out who.

The songs I can't find: Intro, Necrosexual, Keep Looking for Secrets, Third Nostril. --104.228.0.8 22:28, 17 April 2016 (CEST)
