Slipknot is a 9 piece Metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1992 and again in 1998. They were made famous by their signiture Masks and for poineering the new wave of American Heavy Metal. Their lyrics revolve around social issues and anger, and they are criticized for their guitar riffs which change very little throughout each song, and are usually just different variations of the same part. Drummer Joey Jordison is known to have worked with Manson in the past and appeared in the Tainted Love Music Video.
