"Overneath the Path of Misery" is the fourth song on Marilyn Manson's eighth studio album Born Villain. The song first appeared in the Born Villain trailer released on September 1, 2011. The title of the song was initially thought to be "No Reason" due to the amount of times the phrase is repeated throughout the song, though Marilyn Manson confirmed later in 2011 at The Path of Misery art exhibition that the song's title was in fact, "Overneath the Path of Misery."[1]
Versions
- "Overneath the Path of Misery" appears on Born Villain.

Lyrics
"And all our yesterdays have lighted fools The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing." - William Shakespeare
