A backstage pass from the Guns, God and Government tour

Guns, God and Government was the eighth tour Marilyn Manson embarked on, under management of major record label Interscope Records. It was also the band's fourth tour to span over multiple legs. The band was on the tour from October 27, 2000 until September 2, 2001.

Lineup

Stage Antics

For the intro, Manson was carried onstage on a Roman-like Chariot by two naked girls that bore Roman helmets. Heavy use of fireworks was still used and Manson's outfit resembled the one seen in the music video for Disposable Teens.

During performances of The Love Song, Manson would wear a Pope outfit. During performances of Valentine's Day a rather odd prop would be showcased: A table with two severed heads and grapes.

During some shows, there would be two dancers onstage. The Podium from Dead To The World also returned sporting with a new design, a crucifix made of guns. Beside the Podium, two Russian like guards would stand next to each side of it as Manson sang either The Love Song during the show in Moscow.

In some performances, Manson would raise to an enormous height, much like the Disposable Teens video. During Crucí-Fiction in Space, this would almost always happen. Backup images included the Holy Wood letters looking much like the design of the Hollywood Hills, the cover for the Disposable Teens single and a flag partially burned.
