Guns, God and Government was the eighth tour Marilyn Manson embarked on, under management of major record label Interscope Records. It was also the band's fourth tour to span over multiple legs. The band was on the tour from October 27, 2000 until September 2, 2001.

For the intro, Manson was carried onstage on a roman like two wheel car by two naked girls that wear roman helmets. Heavy use of fireworks was still used and Manson's outfit was a resemblene of the one seen in disposable teens.
