''Grist-o-Line'' came in a cassette case with photocopied sleeve artwork. Originally the front cover featured the band's logo above the typewritten text "<small>FROM LUNCH WAGON TO GAS STATION...</small>" and a clip art collage of an American flag inserted in a gasoline can. Worth noting is the absence of this text in almost all images of the cover on the Internet.
