Faunadestia is a painting by Marilyn Manson. It depicts Mickey Mouse taking the top of his head off, in a manner someone would take his hat off while greeting someone. The painting alludes to Disneyland's famous "mouse ears" and is perhaps a visual representation of the lyrics, "I'm the leader of the club and I've shrugged off my mouse ears" from "Ka-boom Ka-boom". The painting was exhibited in The Golden Age of Grotesque and Trismegistus art exhibitions, It is now unavailable as it has reportedly been sold to American musician Rob Zombie's tour manager for an undisclosed amount.

Signed and numbered limited edition prints are available for $3,000 at marilynmanson.com paintings.

Manson's interpretation of the painting

"Every artist has to do Mickey as a rite of passage. This is my interpretation. The title refers to the phobia of animals scratching their genitals. I think Andy Warhol did say America suffers from a rodent fetish. I enjoyed that."[1]
