The performance on September 5, 1996 (also known as "A Night of Nothing") took place at the Irving Plaza in New York City, New York, USA.[1] The show was part of Nothing Records' showcase "A Night of Nothing" headlining Nine Inch Nails. It marked the band's first performances of "Kinderfeld" and "1996", just a month before official release on the band's 1996 album Antichrist Superstar. It was also the first show featuring guitarist Zim Zum, replacing Daisy Berkowitz.

The show was cut off towards the end of "1996", due to Manson's microphone stand hitting drummer Ginger Fish in the head, knocking him out.
