About

The performance on June 29, 1994 took place at the Squeeze in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. It was publicized as "the social event of the season," the listening party for Marilyn Manson's debut album Portrait of an American Family, and also the band's first official acoustic show. It featured the band's first performances of any of the six songs played that night, eight months before the official release of "Down in the Park" on the band's CD single of "Lunchbox", and 16 months before the official release of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and "I Put a Spell on You" on the band's 1995 EP Smells Like Children.

After the band's set, several local acts including Jack Off Jill, Killing Silence, The Goods, Sinful Lust, Robbie Gennet and Dore Soul took the stage to play covers of Marilyn Manson songs. The music video for "Get Your Gunn" also premiered at the venue.[1]
