Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids' last performance before truncating their name to Marilyn Manson took place on October 26, 1991 at the Plus 5 in Davie, Florida. Here, frontman Marilyn Manson announced that the band had signed to Interscope Records. This show is often listed as August 1, 1992 as a result of the band not taking stage until before midnight. The flyer promoting "the last Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids show" confirms it was regarded as a July 31 gig. A sampled Charles Manson quote served as the band's introduction.
