"15" is the fifteenth and final track from Marilyn Manson's 2009 release The High End of Low. Its title was revealed on March 10, 2009, in a MySpace blog entry by producer Sean Beavan. Marilyn Manson described "15" to Kerrang! as "very unusual," and the most important song that has been written by the band. It was recorded on January 5, 2009, Manson's 40th birthday.
Music details
Reviewing for Thrash Hits, Hugh Platt was displeased that "after an record featuring some of his best material for nearly a decade, closing the album with the hands-off minimalism of album '15' is akin to ending on a petulant sigh, rather than the defiant final middle-finger salute The High End of Low surely deserves."[1]
In his review for The Quietus, John Robb gave a surprisingly sparse analysis of "15", although he did highlight that with its "descending riff" and its "lying-in-bed, fuck-everything sulkiness, [...] '15' drools with its own lethargic hatred."[2]

Lyrics
If you can hear this dont assume that I'm talking to you Yesterday everything, I thought I believed in died but today is my birthday, today is my birthday I dont need you Ill say it to myself It doesnt mean I wont need somebody anyone with half a soul will hear this and they'll never leave me If you dont know what forever feels like, Ill show you what it feels like without it. Ill show you what it feels like without it this time i wont hesitate to kill to protect what i believe in this time i wont hesitate to kill to protect what i believe in I can get by now Im not really dead but I really needed someone to save me leaving me alone to die is worse than having the guts to kill me if you dont know what forever feels like Ill show you what it feels like without it Ill show you what it feels like without it this time i wont hesitate to kill to protect what i believe this time i wont hesitate to kill to protect what i believe in not letting you win wont satisfy me Ill teach you about loss
