The music video for "(s)AINT" is notorious for its extremely graphic nature. Directed by Asia Argento, it primarily features Marilyn Manson as a depraved hotel visitor, insufflating lines of cocaine on the front cover of a Bible, cutting his chest five times with a double-edged razor blade, receiving narcotic(s) intravenously while a rosary is used as a tourniquet, partaking in a series of bondage activities and masturbating in front of a woman who is later exposed as a man (portrayed by Tim Skold). This music video was banned by its parent label, Interscope Records, in the United States. In Japan and Germany, blurring techniques were applied to scenes depicting a woman's vagina and Manson performing cunnilingus. Coinciding with the release of Lest We Forget (The Best of) in 2004, a DVD containing the uncut music video, which had a limited run of 3000 copies, was released. When the music video was uploaded to MarilynManson.com in November 2005, a further 75 discs were offered with orders of Lest We Forget, most of which came with a page of the Bible autographed by Manson.

Eric Szmanda makes a cameo appearance in the music video, where he is seen licking Manson's neck. Szmanda is joined by former bassist Gidget Gein, marking the first collaboration between Manson and Gein in 11 years. Other participants included Tim Skold, Dita Von Teese, Asia Argento and Vanessa Hutton. The music video was shot at the Argyle Hotel (now known as The Sunset Tower) in a 2,000 square-foot, split-level townhouse suite comprised of a master bedroom and bathroom, sitting room and a powder room. Manson himself financed the production costs for the music video, which he described as "an uncompromised look at me at my absolute lowest point, the point where I have to look up to see shit, that I'm below that," and compared it to the novel-turned-film Leaving Las Vegas.

The music video is notorious for its extremely graphic nature. The video was banned by Manson's record label in the United States and in Japan and Germany blurring was applied to a particularly graphic scene in which Manson performs cunnilingus. Along with the release of Lest We Forget (The Best of), Manson released a DVD single with the uncut, banned from the label, original version of the music video - which had a limited run of 3000 copies. When the video was uploaded onto the website in November 2005, a further 75 DVD's were offered with orders of Lest We Forget, most of which came with a bible page autographed by Manson.

* Manson paid for the music video himself.
+
* The line "Your sell by date has expired" was first used in the vocal track of the short film Doppelherz, which was recorded on April 1, 2002.
* According to the band's website, the scenes of the song's music video in which Manson stares into a cracked mirror are intended to be evocative of the "fractured personality" photograph used for the cover of The Long Hard Road Out of Hell.
+
* In the song's music video, a shot of former Marilyn Manson bassist Gidget Gein's sculpture Incase of Emergency Break Heart can be seen when the lyrics "You said I tasted famous, so I drew you a heart" are spoken. Gein also makes a guest appearance in the music video.
* An image of a bloodied Manson from the song's music video was used as the splash page for Marilyn Manson's website between 2005 and 2006. A slideshow on the website revealed that Manson photographed the picture while viewing the music video through a television.
+
* Manson compared the video to the John O' Brien novel and Mike Figis film "Leaving Las Vegas", describing the video as "an uncomprimised look at me at my absolute lowest point...the point where I have to look up to see shit, that I'm below that."
The sculpture is an edition of three. The one in the video being owned by Asia Argento and the others being owned by artist and friend of Gidget Gein, Damian Crowley and the third being owned by friend and collaborator of Gidget Gein Aron Partridge

* An image of a bloodied Manson from (s)AINT was the splash page to his website throughout much of 2005 and the beginning of 2006. Manson, as revaled on the website's slideshow, photographed the picture while viewing the video for (s)AINT from his television screen.
* The line "Your sell by date has expired" was first used in the vocal track of the short film Doppelherz, released earlier in 2003.
+
* Also according to Manson's website the scenes in which Manson stares into a cracked mirror are intended to be evocative of what he called the "fractured personality" photograph that serves as the front cover for his autobiography, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell.
* The song's music video contains references to the Weimar Republic, the name given by historians to the German state which existed from 1919 to 1933 between Imperial Germany and the Third Reich. The eyemask Manson wears was popular in the Weimar Republic. Furthermore, the scene where Dita Von Teese stands on a bed over another woman is almost identical to a photograph featured in The Hot Girls of Weimar Berlin, a book Manson mentioned owning in a 2004 interview with Howard Stern.
