And let's suggest something more, cause sure I'm forgetting some
  2. WRITERS/POETS
That's a tough one. I can't actually name my favourite writers/poets because I'm such a bookworm, I read everything. But I guess I have to go with some of the german 'classics' like Berthold Brecht and Heinrich Heine.

    ART
    - Art Nouveau and Expressionism in general (Alphonse Mucha, Franz Marc a.o.)
    - Dada (especially the works of John Heartfield)

    MUSIC
Also a tough one. Depending on my years of being a fan I have to say Depeche Mode (fan for 25 years now) and Korn (fan since 1995).

    ACTORS
Being a girl I enjoy watching Johnny Depp (especially in Tim Burton's movies), Christian Bale and Keanu Reeves  .
  3. 25 years fan of DM? Did you start as a baby to listen to their music? :O What do you think about Personal Jesus covered by Manson? I think it's one of his less covers, quite similar to the original, I mean there is not such re-interpretation as in Sweet Dreams for ex

I had my first poster of DM hanging at my walls when I was 8 years old (8+25=33  ). Got my first LP at the same age (I annoyed my dad for weeks so he went with me into a record store and bought it for me- Duran Duran's 'Arena').

I actually like MM's version of PJ but it's not my favourite DM song  .
  5. Well you started pretty soon to develop a music taste, I can remember listening to crap radio songs until about 14. I started to listening music in a serious way when "Mechanical Animals" broke out in 1998, when I was already 15. Anyway my fav DM songs are "I Feel You" and "Barrell of a Gun" but I don't know them that much (though my sister got all their records). Can't stand their early things like "Just Can't Get Enough". I also enjoy the cover version of "I Feel You" by Placebo. Do you like Roxy Music? If you like Duran and DM you know that both owe something to Roxy Music in inspiration, but I think Roxy were far more sophisticated.

Yes, but that's just because my dad's a music freak, too. He taped music videos on VHS during the 80's and as a kid I watched them for hours. Another one of my favourite leisure activitys was to look at my dad's vinyl collection :) .
My first favourite song and video was Culture Club's 'Do you really want to hurt me', that was back in 1982. So actually I started to develeop my own music taste at the age of 6 8-) .

I like Roxy Music but I'm more into that less sophisticated 80's Pop style, if you know what I mean :) ...
  7. From the 80s I would pick The Smiths, but I know there's a lot of people who hates them. Roxy and Bowie to me are godfathers of many of the bands I really love.
  8. Music:
Wednesday 13 (and all of his projects)
    Any LePlegua (all his projects)
    Stone Sour/ Slipknot
    Everything on Psychopathic Records
    Misftis
    Mayhem

    Writings:
I really love work by J.R.R. Tolkien

    Actors:
Might be a cliche, I really like Jjohnny Dep, though I found that Vigo Mortison is very good to,
  9. Music:

    Lady Gaga
    Bright Eyes
    Ingrid Michaelson
    The Dresden Dolls
    She Wants Revenge

Oddly enough, Manson is the only really "rock" music that I listen to.

    Authors:
Anne Rice. Yeah, I'm a cliche. A teen who loves vampire novels.
    Christopher Rice.
    Stephen King.
    JK Rowling, of course.
    Lewis Carroll.

    Actors:
Johnny Depp really is that great of an actor.
    Helena Bonham Carter.
    Drew Barrymore.
    Winona Ryder.
    Sandra Oh.

    Poets:
Not many, but I really love Funeral Blues by W.H. Auden.
  10. Sandra Oh... Won't talk about her as an actress, but as a woman I really can't think to anyone less attractive. Even the other girl from Grey's Anatomy, the main character, so mundane.
  11. Some of us don't like people strictly for their looks... I think she's pretty. And she's a great actress.

  12. I agree, in fact I'm desperetaly in love with Beth Ditto, who might look only a fat lesbian for many people, while I see in her an incredibly strong and sincere personality and an absolute beauty. All apart her qualities as singer. Talking about the two girls of Grey's Anatomy I mean that they are so cold to me, this is the feeling I have. But is just my opinion.
  13. Nine Inch Nails, Modwheelmood, Mellowdrone, Muse, Radiohead, David Bowie, Lady GaGa, Skinny Puppy, ohGr, Rob Zombie, White Zombie, Jane's Addiction, Queens of the Stone Age....

    ones I listen to most.
  14. I forgot about HIM, The 69 Eyes & Lacrimas Profundere
  15. Vixen, you're gonna love "Hey Asshole" by 1000 Homo DJ's
  16. If I had to make a top 10:
    1. Manson (Spooky Kids included.)
    2. Goon Moon
    3. The Doors
    4. Adema
    5. Alice In Chains
    6. Syd Barrett's solo stuff
    7. Pink Floyd
    8. Tweaker
    9. The Red Paintings
    10. Mindless Self Indulgence
  17. If a guitar solo was something with a hole in, I'd stick my dick in the one in That Was Just Your Life by Metallica.

    [/random]
  18. MUSIC
    Rammstein
    Slayer
    Slipknot / Stone Sour
    Machine Head
    Mudvayne

    ART
I'm not that much into art, maybe you could mention HR Giger, if he counts ;)
And as my girlfriend studies architecture, I'm taking more and more interest in architects (like Santiago Calatrava)

    ACTRESS
    Johnny Depp

    WRITERS/POETS
    Stephen King in general
and then there are more single books, "The Pillars of the Earth" for example
  19. Gorgoroth
    Dimmu Borgir
    Carpathian Forest
    Obtained Enslavement
    Cradle of Filth
  20. MUSIC
    Nine Inch Nails
    Elliott Smith
    Sigur Ros
    A Perfect Circle
    Tool
    Puscifer
    Placebo
    The Doors
    The Pixies
    The Talking Heads
    David Bowie
    Spinvis
    Silversun Pickups
    The Veils
    Iggy Pop
    Joy Division

    ART
I can enjoy paintings of many different painters and art periods. Standouts would be Vincent van Gogh, Caspar David Friedrich, Pablo Picasso and early Mondriaan.

    ACTORS
    Too many...

    DIRECTORS
    David Lynch
    Stanley Kubrick
    Martin Scorsese
    Christopher Nolan
    David Fincher
    Quentin Tarantino
    Alex van Warmerdam

    WRITERS/POETS
I study literature, so I know a lot of writers. I'll just name a few (relatively) modern ones I really like: Edgar Allan Poe, Clive Barker, Chuck Palahniuk, Brett Easton Ellis and Joost Zwagerman.
  21. Chuck Palahniuk is awesome.

I recently discovered Herman Brusselmans, Dimitri Verhulst, Jan Wolkers and Jan Cremer. Love their books :)
  22. A Perfect Circle
    Black Light Burns
    Korn
    NIN

    Artists
Dali is truly the only artist that I admire how typical sounding... :/

  23. I'm not a fan of Dali at all. I can appreciate Gaudi sometimes, but I mostly prefer modern/popart like Warhol and Liechtenstein.

All in all I'm not really an art lover. Well music, films and literature is art too of course, but you get what I mean :P

I read Verhulst's 'Mevrouw Verona daalt de heuvel af', which was good but not great. I've been wanting to read Brusselmans, but still hasn't happened. Oh, Nescio is great too!

I haven't gotten around to Nescio yet, i've been catching up on my literature lately but I still have like 10 books to go.

Brusselmans is really good though (but rather strange). I could lend you a handful if you live near Rotterdam?
